5 Natural Remedies To Get Rid Of Skin Pigmentation

Skin pigmentation, also known as hyperpigmentation, is a common skin disorder faced by almost everyone nowadays. It usually occurs because of the overproduction of melanin in the skin. Melanin is a natural pigment that gives skin its color. There are several factors why the skin produces more melanin, but the main reasons are overexposure to the sun, aging, genetics, hormonal changes, and inflammation processes. To remove these stubborn dark and age spots, we often try various expensive cosmetic products while in return, we get nothing except disappointment, sadness, and indifference. Hence, it is better to choose some natural home remedies to get rid of skin pigmentation disorders:

1. Raw Potato

One of the easiest and effective ways to get rid of the pigmentation on the skin is by using a potato. You need one raw potato and some water. Cut the potato into two halves and add some drops of water to their surface. Massage the affected area with that potato slice in a circular motion for almost 10-20 minutes. After that, wash your skin with normal water.

Note: Repeat this remedy at least two or three times a week.

2. Papaya

When it comes to natural hyperpigmentation treatment, papaya can be the best home remedy for tan and sunburn. It has excellent exfoliating properties. All you need is a papaya face pack. For that, you need to extract juice from papaya and mix it with milk and honey. Apply this mixture to the affected area for around 20 minutes. Wash off with normal water.

Note: Do it two or three times a week.

3. Turmeric

Turmeric powder is your skin’s best friend as it helps to lighten the skin pigmentation spots, reduce scars, and clear your face from acne to a great extent. Make a paste of turmeric powder and milk. Massage the affected area with this mixture and leave it for 20 minutes. After that, wash it with lukewarm water.

Note: Do it on every alternate day.

4. Vitamin E

Another effective way of reducing pigmentation is by using Vitamin E. It neutralizes the effect of UV rays, repairs the damaged dry skin, and cures the hyperpigmentation spots more easily. Mix a few drops of vitamin E oil with aloe vera gel. Apply the mixture to the pigmented areas and leave overnight. Rinse off with water in the morning.

Note: Repeat twice or thrice a week.

5. Tomato

Tomato juice is the best way to remove the pigmentation and dark spots, acne spots. It helps to lighten the uneven skin tone, fade acne scars, and give you bright, beautiful, and radiant skin. Combine tomato juice with yogurt and rub the mixture on the area that has been affected for around 20 minutes. Wash it with water.
