Simple Steps To Enhance Your Feet Beauty

As beautiful and immortal words are, they from the movie Pakeezah, the beauty of feet is something everybody wants to achieve. Be it for accessorizing with stylish footwear or highlighting with beautiful foot jewelry, beautiful feet do matter. However, with the course of life, most of us neglect to take care of this body part as it stays hidden inside our shoes. Ingrown nails cracked heels, and nail infections are some of the problems that make the feet look unattractive.

To ensure such issues don’t hamper the beauty of your feet, here are some simple steps to make your feet look healthy and gorgeous.

1. Pick a Feet Pampering Session

We visit salons for haircuts, facials, and to avail of many other beauty treatments. At our homes too, we pamper our face, hair, and hands. However, our feet take the highest toll. We stand for a long time or wear uncomfortable shoes, straining our legs. This causes our feet to ache and swelling.

To ease this, take a bucket full of warm water and soak your feet. Add 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt. Relaxing your feet on this salted water will reduce swelling.

2. Moisturization… A must step

Keeping your body hydrated is an absolute necessity. But to keep your feet moisturized is a must. Apply coconut oil throughout your feet before bedtime and cover them with breathable socks. Coconut oil, being an antiseptic in nature, reduces marks and fungal infections.

3. Scrub-y Dubby Doo

If Scooby (a famous cartoon character) can be seen taking care of his legs (in a few episodes), why can’t we? Foot scrubs exfoliate our skin and bring out a radiant look. Even though homemade scrubs are not as satisfying as the pedicures provided by salons, they are effective on the basic level.

You can easily create a good food scrub by mixing 1/3 cup coconut oil, 2 cups granulated sugar, and a few drops of peppermint or lemon essential oil. This scrub not only removes dead cells but also releases fatigue. 

Another good remedy is to use 1 teaspoon of coffee powder and mix it with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Scrub gently in a circular motion for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse with cold water. 

4. Bye-Bye Toenail Fungus

Nails with fungal infections never look good. So, if you are a victim, try this home remedy. Take 2 cups each of water and apple cider vinegar and mix it well. In this solution, soak your feet for at least 30 minutes. 

In case you don’t have apple cider vinegar but have lavender essential oil, you can apply a few drops of that oil directly onto your affected toenails before you go to sleep.
